Life Philosophy for a More (or less) Happy New Year 2024!

Since the 2023 was generally quite a bad year overall, a better new year 2024 could perhaps be ensured by seeking and adopting a more optimistic, forward looking living philosophy. Enter the 'Philosophy of lower expectations!' Which goes something like this:

You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity, by legislating the wealthy out of prosperity.
What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving.

If you only had $30K, you wouldn't go out and buy a $30K car?
Yet for some reason people make $30K and go finance a $60K car. Credit made people forget common sense & it's become the new normal. Monthly payments destroy your monthly cash flow. Remember freedom is greater than luxuries.
