Life Philosophy for a More (or less) Happy New Year 2024!

Since the 2023 was generally quite a bad year overall, a better new year 2024 could perhaps be ensured by seeking and adopting a more optimistic, forward looking living philosophy. Enter the 'Philosophy of lower expectations!' Which goes something like this:

  1. You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity, by legislating the wealthy out of prosperity.

  2. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving.

  3. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else.

  4. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it.

  5. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work, because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work, because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that is the beginning of the end of any nation!

In conclusion, the absence of extraordinary fable like expectations of the impossible lessens dangers of possible disappointments and thus keeps us less unhappy.

NOTE: the above philosophy may have negative connotations for a statistically insignificant number of individuals, who tend to fall into additional emotional misery, with newly discovered judgment such as that they are actually the subject of perpetual robbery and enslavement. Such poor people are hereby kindly requested to seek libertarians in the New Year 2024.

Happy (& free from the government) New Year 2024!
